What is Community Futures?

Community Futures Wild Rose is part of the Community Futures Network of Canada – a network of community economic development organizations across Canada. We are a not-for-profit customer service centre dedicated to assisting local businesses, individuals, and communities within the region. Are you a government office?

No. While we enjoy partnerships with both federal and provincial governments, we are a not-for-profit organization operating within the laws of the province of Alberta.

What does Community Futures do?

We offer support to new entrepreneurs and existing businesses as well as communities seeking sustainable economic development initiatives. More information about our programs and services may be accessed directly from our home page.

Do you charge for your services?

No. Our programs are government-funded and provided to clients at no charge. Please note you may be required to fill out a registration form to access some our services.

How do I start a business?

We recommend that you research and write a business plan first in order to figure out whether your business is viable.  Feel free to download our Business Plan or contact us to make a personal appointment.  More information and resources are available here.

Does Community Futures provide small business grants?

No. We provide flexible, affordable financing and loans based upon your situation and needs.

Where is your office and when are you open?

Community Futures Wild Rose serves a region directly east of Calgary, Alberta. Our office is located in Strathmore. Our office hours are 8:30 am - 12 pm; 1 pm - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed on all Statutory Holidays.
